SXS Industries
Background
SXS Industries Inc is located in Stanton CA USA and had its genesis in off road recreational vehicles. The owners realised that the impressive machining capability of SXS’s machine shop could also be used to service the Californian aerospace industry. SXS Industries engaged KAL Global to provide consulting services to it to gain AS9100 accreditation, which was obtained early in 2022.
The Challenge
To develop and implement a quality system conforming to the requirements of AS9100 in a short time frame to take advantage of a number of aerospace opportunities which were presented to SXS Industries.
The Solution
Utilising a relational database program KAL Global in conjunction with SXS Industries was able to design, test and commission a bespoke management information system (MIS) which provided SXS Industries with all of the necessary functions to run the business, record the quality data and facilitate a relatively paperless business model capable of the rigorous auditing required to achieve AS9100.
Results
Within 12 months SXS Industries had developed the procedures and incorporated the MIS into the day to day running of the business. This in turn facilitated the necessary procedures and record keeping required to successfully pass a third party audit to the AS9100 standard.
